Kitchen organic waste collection in Panama

What we do

Circular economy from the kitchen, not just trash pickup.

In Panama City we place returnable 5, 35 and 55 gallon tanks at restaurants, cafés and hotels. The route takes the full tank and leaves a clean one. Organics do not go out in bags to the landfill.

  • Organic recycling: peels, fruit, vegetables, coffee, kitchen trimmings.
  • Commercial composting as bokashi on a farm — not a machine in your kitchen.
  • Inorganics (glass, plastic, cardboard, paper, oils) with Grün Panama.
  • BioLoop: the weigh-in record for each client.

ESG and CSR

Corporate social responsibility with kilos, not a poster.

Every pickup is weighed. Each month you get the number: kilos by type, and CO₂e avoided with BioLoop’s internal factor (0.794 kg CO₂e per kg organic, calibrated with Orgánica Bites). That belongs in a sustainability report. It is not a Verra credit or a VCU.

Yes. We collect kitchen scraps in tanks, on a route, in Panama City. You do not take out the bag. Every drop is weighed.

Does this count for sustainability or CSR?

Yes, as an operational figure: kilos diverted from landfill and estimated CO₂e. We do not sell international carbon credits on this page.

Is this on-site composting?

No. You do not compost. You fill the tank. Bokashi happens at the farm.
